Danny Garcia will head against an opponent yet to determine on October 18 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Hopefully, for the sake of Garcia, he faces someone outside the upper level of the mid -junior half -weight division. It does not seem to be able to beat any of the contenders at his age.

Garcia’s struggle after Lara’s loss

This will be the first struggle for the world-class two two-year divisions, “Swift”, Garcia (37-4, 21 kos) in more than a year since it was stopped in the ninth round by the WBA champion, Erislandy Lara, on September 14, 2024.

Danny seemed to not belong to the ring with Lara. Garcia had not fought for two years in this contest. It was a wrong idea to challenge a talented fighter as Erislandy after a long dismissal.

The fans see no point in Garcia continuing to fight after the way he performed against Lara. This was Danny’s second defeat in his last three fights, and seemed like the fighter’s shell in 2017, when he lost the WBC heavy weight title to Keith Thurman for a 12 round decision. This struggle took a lot from the two fighters.

Danny’s comeback: a question

18 -year -old professional Garcia is too small to fight at 154. His best weight class was at 140, but he may be too difficult to return to his division at his age. Although he did, the competition is too good for him at his age. Although Danny was in place, he would have mass problems against combatants such as Gary Antuanne Russell, Richardson Hitchins, Teofimo Lopez and Subriel Matias.
