Residents return to burned homes as wildfires rage in Los Angeles

Residents of Los Angeles are returning to their homes to assess the damage and destruction left by simultaneous fires in the region.

Firefighters were unable to contain some of the fires due to relentless winds.

The Pacific Palisades fire, now known as the city’s most destructive, destroyed more than 1,000 buildings.
