People in Myanmar and Thailand talked about their shock and horror after a powerful earthquake at 7.7 magnet on Friday, tearing up buildings in two countries.
A resident in Yangon, the largest city of Myanmar, told the BBC that Shakes was “quite intense” and lasted for about four minutes.
Speaking in front of the Newsday World Service BBC program, a person who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons described how he wakes up from sleeping to a building that trembled heavily.

The US Geological Service issued a “red warning”, warning that “high losses and great damage are likely”. The death toll remains unknown, but USGS is estimated to be in thousands.
