Spain survived a remarkable scare to defeat France 5-4 in a semifinal of the unforgettable League of Nations, reserving its place in the final of Sunday.
It was a game that had everything, impressive attacking game, defensive chaos and an almost impossible comeback attempt.
The men of Luis de la Fuente were simply irresistible during much of the night, cutting France open on so many occasions, especially from the irrepressible lamina Yamal and Nico Williams.
However, they were sweaty as an increase in the second half of France turned a 5-1 marker into a nail bite finish.
Spain ran to a two -goal lead in the middle of the first half. Nico Williams opened the score in the 22nd minute with a strike on the network roof after the smart play of Yamal and Mikel Oyarzabal.
Three minutes later, Oyarzabal got Mikel Merino to double the advantage with a low clinical finish.
France, stunned and slow in response, was lucky not to grant a third party before the break. But the dominion of Spain continued after the restart and in the 67th minute they were 5-1 ahead.

Pedri then added a quarter with a delicate finish after a sublime through Williams’ ball, before Yamal took his second and fifth Spanish, with a clean finish after Pedro Porro’s smart pass.
France finally responded through a penalty of Kylian Mbapppe just before the time mark, briefly showing a renaissance. However, with the score 5-1 and 30 minutes to the left, few believed it was possible.
Enter Rayan Cherki.
The Lyon player led to life in France with an impressive 25 gardens to make it 5-2, before his dangerous cross became the Spanish network for the defender Daniel Vivian in the 84th minute.
France smelled of blood and went ahead, and in the 93rd minute, Cherki dazzled again, giving a timely cross so that Randal Kolo Miani went home, reducing the deficit to 5-4. From 5-1 down, France was a short distance.
But Spain endured.
