Red Devils scored three in the extra seven minutes of time to reach the last four

Manchester United arrived at the Europa League semifinals after an impressive second leg encounter against Lyon at Old Trafford, which saw the hosts scored three goals in the last seven minutes of additional times.

Harry Maguire sent home fans to Pandemonium as he directed the winning goal in the 121st minute, while the Red Devils left 5-4 winners at night and 7-6 as a whole.

It was a contest that sometimes challenged belief. Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot had given United a comfortable advantage in the middle of the time, but the French visitors fought after the pause and reached the level through Corentin Tolisso and Nicolas Tagliafico.

With the ropes hosts, Tolisso received his late time orders in normal times before Rayan Cherki and a penalty by Alexandre Lacazette gave the league 1 a seemingly unattainable advantage in an additional time.

However, a point of view of Bruno Fernandes gave the United States hope to return to the comeback before Kobbie Minoo did a reality six minutes later. Then, while the tie was destined for a penalty shot, Maguire appeared with the winner, causing wild scenes on the stands.

Departure from the United to the last four where they will face athletics Bilbao.

A memorable evening to Old Trafford

The drama started just 10 minutes after the game when Nousair Mazraoui found Fernandes on the right.

The U.S. captain returned to the ball to Alejandro Garnacho, who in turn returned to Ugarte, who went home.

The United had its tails. Lyon ruined. Lucas Perri saved well for visitors after Casemiro’s Curling effort appeared to the lower corner.

The French side had started slowly, but they finally grew in the game, with the head of Paul Akouokou, drawing a smart savings by Andre Onana.

The Shoot-Stopper United, which sought to redeem after two expensive errors in the first stage, was back in action on the half-hour mark when Cherki danced ahead of Casemiro and Leny Yoro, before hitting a low shot towards the bottom left, but onana was the same as it.

But few moments after the Lyon player refused a good solo effort, Fernandes almost scored a goal from the contestant of the season when his sublime Volley hit the crossbar.

The Portuguese player began in Purr, and saw that another great effort closed when his 25 gardens strike came out of an inch wide in the upper corner.

Fernandes looked at the most likely to find the Network for United, but it was his compatriot Dalot who took the second in the half when he turned and rifled the ball in the post.

Maybe it was a small cliché to say that the next goal was huge. But United could, and maybe I should put the tie on the bed five minutes after the restart.

Rasmus Hojlund sent clearly Garnacho before the Argentine accused the box. He jumped ahead of Clinton Mata, however, one with Perri, could not apply the end and Lyon Keeper passed the effort.

Despite the lady, things seemed pink for the United States. But it soon changed in 71 minutes when Tolisso found the net with a header after the hosts did not get rid of a free foul.

The mood had changed suddenly. Comfort replaced by nerves. And less than 10 minutes later, Lyon got the level.

From a deep cross, the former Arsenal man, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, struck a volley on the goal of the goal, which was turned by Tagliafico.

Onana seemed to have nailed the ball, but only on the path of another ex-pistoler, substitute Lacazette, who fell home from a close.

But the replacements showed that Tagliafico’s initial effort was from the entire line.

When the game entered the final period of normal time, United was on the ropes. But Amorim’s side was driven when Tolisso received a second reserve for what seemed to be an accidental trip to Yoro.

Extra time provided another turn to the story. A downward player Lyon completed the comeback when Cherki hit his team in front after his teammate, Malick Fofana, had fallen.

Fofana was back in the center of the action in the second half, as it was demolished by Luke Shaw in La Caixa.

Lacazette granted and sent a penalty to pillage the misery to the men of Amorim.

But United was not down and out. They turned a foot point five minutes later by courtesy of Fernandes.

Kobbie Moinoo then sent Old Trafford to Raptures when he completed the hosts of his own comeback before Harry Maguire exploded the roof of the place when he headed the head to the lower corner to send his side and his club fans to Delirium.
