The shooting of the MTV-epoch music video of Dead’s gratitude on “Hell to the bucket” was one long, strange trip.
Len del’amico, “Movie and Video -Speakers” of the band, wrote a new memoir, “Devil’s friend: My wild trip with Jerry Garcia and grateful to the dead.” He said in detail that it was in favor of “love, happy chaos and pot – a lot of pot” since 1980 until the frontman Garcia died in 1995.
The director directed the 1987 music video. He claimed that the Fox News Digital that the duck presented in the video, in the leather collar, got drunk on champagne during the shoot.

“I think (the founder’s member) Bob Weer was responsible,” Del’amika smiled. “He just got out of vacation … He knew what we were doing the video. He knew how important it was. I remember Mountain girl, wife Garcia (At the time), he saw him and said, “Bobby, He is God now.” He was so beautiful, in such a great form and played great. “
“We all knew we were shooting at the bar,” Del’amika shared. “When you shoot at the bar, you hire anyone who enters and put into fake bottles. You don’t want free alcohol on the kit. And I spread the word – without drinking. We had fake champagne. It never came up.”

“But then I saw the duck in real time,” he said. “I said, ‘Oh, it’s fantastic! It looks like we had a duck. “And then I saw him gradually.

According to the book dell’amicoIt was Weera who came up with the idea of having a duck in the video, to admiration. He also asked for a tiger. Nine feet, 400 pounds. The Bengal Tiger was brought.

Del’amika said that during the shooting of the duck it became interesting about what was in the glass of Weera. He said he continued to go there -here on the sip. After all, he put the whole account and “was good on it.” At one point, the duck was “lowered from it.” For Dell’amico, it was “incredibly happiness” to get a plausible performance.
But then the next day he received a “prudent” phone call from the Daka coach.

“He was very upset,” Del’amika reminded at Digital Fox News. “He kept saying, ‘He got drunk! “He was very emotional.
“I called the phone,” Del’amika said. “I learned that Weera gave someone to 50 bucks to get him a real champagne. I remember I had a bottle of champagne in my hand. It’s crazy about champagne. “

“Well, the duck has resumed,” Del’amika said. “And the coach said he was going to teach her to other things for a while. So he had a happy ending.”

According to Del’amika, the duck pushed out white grapes.
“We find that the duck is in the car where Bob and (a) Daminatrix drives while the duck samples of the Bob’s glass, which ended with a duck that fell through the care, is thin but impressive, fun when he noticed it,” he wrote.

Fox News Digital addressed the press -secretary of Weir, 77, for comments.

Dell’amico confessed that he had a lesser time to make friends with Garcia. He called it soft and comic. His surprisingly modest house was “like a dormitory in college” with several flannel shirts and pants in the closet and overflowing ash nearby. Garcia would often notice: “I would better do things than things.”
“I was surprised by the depth of his humility and perseverance to the ordinary man,” Del’amika said.

“We would go for dinner, and the manager at the restaurant would come and say,” Food on us, “he said.” Garcia always said, “No, thank you. We can pay for it. We have money. Why don’t you give free food to people who don’t have money?”

“You couldn’t help but love the guy, despite his shortcomings,” he explained. “And he had a lot of shortcomings. He was a travel musician who tried to support the family. It’s not easy.”

Dell’amico said the last time he talked to Garcia A few weeks before death. They were reminiscent of the past and good times. Looking back, Del’amika wondered whether Garcia knew that he would not be much longer.

“He knew he had heart disease,” Del’amik explained. “I don’t know how long it has never said it. Why? Because he didn’t complain about anything. His philosophy was: ‘complaints is rhythms. Be glad you have, whatever it is, as little or big. Because you’re here. ”

“This is the one who lived in the car. He hit the jackpot in his life. It was glory and attention that he brought potential misfortune. He just wanted to be … His philosophy was that the animals were not afraid to die, so why should we be? What a good fear when he was the most fearless person I knew.”

“I remember we were sitting there, reminiscent of an hour and a half about our early days,” Del’amik said quietly. “It was hysterical. We laughed until they cried. But later I thought,” Why did he talk about his early life on that day? ‘I was in refusal.

Garcia died in a dream in residential treatment of addiction in California, The New York Times reported. He was 53 years old. The group’s press -secretary said the cause was a heart attack. According to the exit, Garcia tried to stop smoking and lose weight.

Dell’amico emphasized that, despite the short life of Garcia, the artist was not a tragic figure.
“It would be crazy calling it broken,” he said. “He did more than most people in 53 years. Yes, he faced constant pressure. He had to make a tough choice. He had problems with the substances. But I can tell you from all time in the show -that he was not uncommon.

“We have shared the general conviction that after life there is life – nature is what goes on forever,” he reasoned. “People are the only creatures that are worried about death. He wasn’t. Even in those last days he was the same old happy I have always been. And I think so we should remember him.”
