Reba Mcentire gratefully that Happy place allowed her to reunite with her Before -on -screen Christopher Rich after his huge stroke.
“Bringing Chris back in (after Reba), that was the most special to the producers – Kevin Abbott and Mindy Schultheis and Michael hanel. They were all of the Reba Sitcom, ”quoted Mcentire, 70, during a unique interview with Weekly US In Nashville while filming a series of SITCOM inspired ads for Realtor.com’s “almost home” campaign.
Mcentire remembered How important was it for them – and to rich – to be on a set together again.
“In order to bring Chris back in after his stroke, he actually made a difference in his life,” he noted. “He had to come back to the work he loved so much around the people he loves so much. And we all love him. It’s been a huge blessing to all of us.”
Mcentire and Rich appeared, 71, both on The gambler returns: luck of the draw Before reuniting when Reba Broadcast between 2001 and 2007. The popular show followed a single mother who had to start over after her husband, Brock (Rich), left for her dental hygienist, Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman). Reba (Reba Mcentire) Trying to start fresh while raising her children – including her teenage pregnant daughter (Joanna Garcia Swisher) and her boyfriend (Steve Howey).
Two decades later, Mcentire and Peterman, 53, reunite on nbc’s Happy placeAnd the way for them to work with Rich and Howey, 47, prepared again.
“It’s so satisfactory. We’re so grateful and grateful. (I get to work) with Rex Linnmy love and melissa I’ve worked with before (on Reba) and has been identified since 2001, ”said Mcentire Us. “Then get Belissa (EscoBedo), Tokala (Black ELC) and Pablo (Castelblanco) Like other cast members – we’re all so different. It’s an eclectic group that is so fun to get everyone together. We learn from each other and we feed off each other. They’re great actors and we just had the best time. We can’t wait to go back and start working on season 2. ”
Rich episode in February hold extra significance After he stepped away from acting for several years following a huge stroke.
“I liked that they let me call (Reba Bobbie’s character) at one time. That’s what I called on the show,” said Rich alone Us for a brock address at Reba on the striking comedy. “Those little things are often magnificent. And Reba (The show) has such an amazing sequence that people will comment on at -lein. It was so lovely to work with those two women. They took such a good care of me and were very, very defensive. “
Mcentire is excited for even more possible cameos in season 2. She also provoked how Happy place can evolve in his sophomore season.
“In the first season we were saying, ‘Why don’t we tell them this?’ And then Kevin Abbott – our Showrunner – would go, ‘Patience. So fans want something to happen but if it happens too soon, it’s like,’ then what are we going to want? ‘ ”Mcentire remembered. “They have so many great stories ready to break and have offered so many story lines.”
He continued: “I love listening to a field for a new story because I’ve enchanted how they think about it. I haven’t heard what comes next yet but I have all the faith in the world in them that will be good.”
While Mcentire was waiting for her to return to a set, she found time to channel the roots of her realtor from her Reba Sitcom Days Realtor.com is a “almost home” campaign.
“Isn’t that funny that I’m doing this ad and I was Realtor on Reba? It’s really suitable and I walked into it perfectly,” he said Us. “When (my friend) Dolly (Parton) Was there (on a chapter of SITC Reba comedy with me), that makes it even more special doing this. He brings back memories with a van (character Steve Howey) Van, who was my son-in-law. He was also my partner in our real estate business. “
Mcentire I love having the opportunity To help make the home buying and selling process more accessible to people looking for their next house.
“What’s so neat about Realtor.com is that you can go on the app. They have over half a million new lists every month. I didn’t know Realtor.com when I moved to Nashville,” he explained. “So over the last 10 years, I’ve had to look for a new home. I wish I would have had it then.”
Mcentire continued: “I love my Realtor but I wish I had Realtor.com because in that way you could look at the lists and actually dive into it.”
