Bangladesh and captain of the Muhammad Sports Club HRIDOY TOWHID It has been affected by a four -game suspension by Bangladesh’s Cricket Board (BCB). The prohibition, immediately, comes from an incident that involves dissent for a referee’s decision and is triggered by the accumulation of multiple offenses this season.
The last disciplinary action took place after the Dhaka Premier’s Premier’s Premier (DPDCL) splitting party was played between the Mohammedan Sports Club and the Gazi Group group on Saturday (April 26, 2025), at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The incident occurred after Hridoy was awarded. According to multiple reports, even after being given by the referee, Hridoy remained in the fold for a notable period. He seemed visibly disgusted by the decision, managing and apparently pointing to the pitch area, the behavior interpreted as a clear dissent against the official’s call.
The wide field, Moniruzzaman Tinku and Ali Arman Rajon, along with the third referee Muhammad Kamruzzaman and the fourth ATM IKRAM, formally reported the breach. Later, Hridoy denied the post and chose to challenge it by requesting a complete disciplinary audience. However, despite previous communication on the auditory calendar, he did not attend. Consequently, the coincidence referee Akhtar Ahmad proceeded to the absence of Hridoy and determined that a sanction was justified.
It was found that Hridoy had committed a level 1 crime under article 2.8 of the BCB Code of Conduct, specifically related to “Showing dissent for a referee’s decision during a game.” Penalties for level 1 crimes usually range from a formal warning up to a financial penalty of up to 40,000 and/or the addition of one or two dies.

For this private incident, Hridoy was fined at Taka 10,000 and assigned a demeral point. This only point was critical, as it brought its total accumulated dienches of various breaches throughout the season to eight. The BCB regulations stipulate that any player reaching eight points automatically incorporates a four -game suspension. This automatic penalty is the basis of the current ban.
This is not Hridoy’s first meeting with the BCB’s disciplinary system this season. All two weeks earlier, on April 12, 2025, he was initially banned from a game for an altering in the field with Umpires during another game of Dhaka’s Premier League League. Following his public critique of party officials on this incident, his suspension spread in a controversial manner in two parties. However, this decision faced significant pressure from the players and the management of the Mohammedan Sports Club, causing the prohibition to be reduced later.
