During the recent meeting of the Apex Council held on June 14, the Council appointed a three -member committee that will establish strict rules for future events after victory. The Secretary of the Indian Cricket Board Devajit Saikia, who runs the Committee, confirmed that a detailed draft of the new celebration protocol is being prepared and will be ready on June 30.
According to The Hindustan Times, Devajit Saikia stated: “The draft (report) will be ready within 15 days as decided, so on June 30.” Apart from Saikia, the Treasurer BCCI Prabhtej Singh Bhatia and the Vice President Rajeev Shukla are the other two members of the Committee.

The draft will include the obligatory authorizations of the interested state government, the Local Police, the fire safety and the civic bodies, along with the control plans of the crowd before any team can organize an event of the victory.
These approvals will also have to go through the Indian Cricket Board to ensure that everything is properly verified and erased to avoid these incidents in the future.
One of the key central areas of the group is to avoid any chaos during high profile celebrations such as airport team parades or meetings in public places. If an event is expected, the panel is likely to suggest a detailed and foolish security protocol that must be strictly followed to prevent accidents.

Once the final guidelines are ready, the Indian Cricket Board will send the document to all IPL franchises, making it clear that security will arrive first and no celebration cannot be held without full approval and proper planning. The new crowd control bill proposed to Karnataka after Bengaluru Stampede Horror
On the other hand, after the tragic stampede in Bengaluru, the Karnataka cabinet has decided to introduce a new bill focused on the control of the people. It is expected that this proposed law will include strict rules to ensure public security during major meetings.
One of the key points of the bill is that anyone who does not follow police instructions during these events could face the action. The bill is also likely to be responsible for event organizers.
If there are injuries or deaths from poor planning or mismanagement, event planters may have to pay compensation to victims or their families.
BCCI enforces the guidelines on IPL teams:
- No team will be allowed to hold celebrations within 3-4 days after winning the title.
- A quick change will not be allowed to avoid precipitated and poorly managed events.
- Teams must apply for BCCI formal permission before organizing any celebration.
- Events cannot be held without the prior written permission of the Council.
- 4 to 5 mandatory levels security protocols
- The presence of safety of several layers will be essential in all places and during traffic.
- Safety agreements must cover the team’s movement from the airport to the event.
- Guaranteeing full protection for players and staff throughout the event calendar.
- District police, state government and local authorities need to be obtained
- All celebrations must be green by the civic bodies and the law to proceed legally and safely.
