Rcb in trouble? Karnataka’s High Court takes strict actions on Bengaluru Stampede’s tragedy

The High Court of Karnataka has notified Suo Motu from Bengaluru’s fatal stadium at M. Chinnaswamy stadium, which claimed 11 lives and left at least 56 injured during the Royal Challengers IPL 2025 victory celebrations (RCB) IPL 2025 in Bengaluru.

The tragedy was displayed on Wednesday, June 4 in Bengaluru, where thousands of RCB fans had gathered to watch their champions. The Karnataka High Court Bank led by the acting judge V. Kameswar Rao and Judge CM Joshi will hear the case at 14:30 on Thursday, June 5.

With the public outrage and the loss of innocent lives, the matter was urgent to the bench by an interested defender who demanded an immediate judicial intervention in the horrific mismanagement of the KCA.

According to India TV, the lawyer general Shashi Kiran Shetty represents the state of Karnataka, and informed the high court that the action is already underway and that a complete report on the incident will be submitted soon.

Shashi Kiran Shetty said on the bench, “This is not an adversary matter. We are concerned about as any citizen of the state. We will present what has been done and we are open to any suggestions.”
