Ray Ford says he hopes that his next fight after his August 16 confrontation against Abraham Nova will be a world title against Super Sugar Nunez or O’Shaquie Foster champions. Ford (17-1-1, 8 kos) has no preference for which of the two challenging camps.
Ford fights against the new replacement opponent (24-3-1, 17 kos) in a 12-round struggle in Riyadh. The event will be displayed live on Dazn PPV. Ray cannot afford another night as we saw in his loss by Nick Ball or his controversial victory in the 12th round over Otabek Kholmatov in 2024. He beaten in both fights.
“My principal is that I want the world title. So if not one of them, I don’t really care who I fight,” said Raymond Ford to Boxing SociaL, discussing his recent fight against Anthony Cacace. “I have been talking to my team. They know what I want (a world title) and, in hope, they can do it for me.”
Ford, 26, has won his last two fights since he lost Nick Ball for a 12 -round division decision last year. He could have won this struggle if he had made more pressure on dance, which surpassed it. He must change his style because he does not have the power to constantly fight with the powerful £ 130. It is already beginning to look and sound, like a fighter who has had a long career, although it is only his sixth year.
“Boxing is not as fun as before. The business part is frustrating, but everyone has to go.
“This is the struggle that makes the most sense for me (Foster). I don’t care what belt is. I’m jumping on any opportunity.
