Former Team India Principal coach Ravi Shastri did not remain in his assessment of India’s field during the first five -game series against England in Headingley. Shastri said that the missed opportunities in the field allowed England to close the vacuum and bring the game to a uniform position.
India’s shameless field was expensive in Leeds’ first test. The Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, left several crucial catches on the 2nd and 3rd. Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook were all delivered due to the field trip. England published a total of 465, restricting the deficit to only six runs.
Team India players fell six catches on the 2nd and 3rd. It was one of its worst Innings field screens in the last five years. It began on the 2nd when Yasasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadja lost the crucial possibilities of dismissing Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope.

The trend continued until the 3rd, and Rishabh Pant and Jaiswal again achieved opportunities. Although India’s general standards have improved significantly in recent years, especially since the Captaincy of Virat Kohli, this departure was a memory of the struggles passed by the team.
Jaiswal significantly participated in multiple missed opportunities. India managed to make a first six innings lead and ended on the 3rd in a solid position at 90/2, with Kl Rahul and Shubman Gill constant at reach.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Ravi Shastri expressed his disappointment over the glittering thing in India. He believes that lost opportunities in the countryside allowed the hosts to add more throws. Ravi Shastri said that the pitch is still good to beat, giving England an opportunity in the fourth post.
“I think India will also be disappointed. England has re -removed things and this game is now in a uniform keel. This pitch is still good, so England will like its chances of chasing, and India knows that they have to beat the day tomorrow.”
“They have to exceed 300 and put in pressure England. If they had their catches they should have had an advantage of 150 more. There is a lot of time in this test game and the game is even,” said Ravi Shastri.
Nasser Hussain, who was also part of the discussion, stated that “India will be a bit disappointed” after its performance on the day 3. Hussain said that the total of England should have been much lower.
“I think India will be a little disappointed. They had a 7-41 collapse in their entrances and the England score should have been much less.”
“The last little session of tonight was vital to them, as they did not let England re -enter the game even more,” said Hussain.
