According to Shastri, the key improvement lies in Iyer’s body positioning in the fold and this minor adjustment has had a significant impact. Shastri felt that Iyer’s bat is lifting simultaneously as he moved to the position, giving -the ability to play a wider range of shots. Whether it is a short ball that needs to throw or width outside the strain that calls for a cutting shot, Iyer now seems equipped to deal with both.
