Based on Jodi Thomas‘Book Series of the same name, Ransom canyon submit Us to a town full of drama, romance and hope. The first season kicked off with a stock keeper Staten (Josh Duhamel) mourning two major losses while navigating an undeniable connection to a Quinn childhood friend (Minka Kelly), who has also caught the eye of Staten’s brother-in-law and competed against Davis (Eoin Macken).

When will ‘Ransom Canyon’ return for season 2?
Netflix refurbished Ransom canyon In June 2025 for another 10 episodes probably. He filmed the first season in early 2024 before being introduced a year later. Based on that schedule, the earliest season 2 would show for the first time in 2026.
Which cast members come back?
Duhamel, Kelly, Macken, Greene, Wareing, Schumacher, Tejada and Liner are all expected to return. Brett Cullen, Robledo Jars, Justin Johnson Cortez and Casey W. Johnson likely to re -appear their roles as well.
The only actor who doesn’t definitely come back? James Brolinwhose character was killed by the end of season 1.

Where did the story leave off in season 1?

Lucas and Lauren, meanwhile, The season ended as a couple. But it feels important to note that Reid is still interested in Lauren, who is yet to tell Lucas that her mother is to blame for his brother’s arrest.
What is the plan for season 2?
“We have already started the Writers Room, although the show has not yet been collected for series for season 2,” Creator April Blair told TV Insider for their plans for season 2. “Quinn is going to go to New York and come back.
Blair confirmed that the Revelations in the ending affects the direction of a possible season 2. “We wanted to find some closure with that, and also, which was behind it and what happened actually opened a completely new series of relationship drama between Lucas and Lauren,” said Blair. “So it gives us a lot of run in other stories too.”

How will the characters address the disclosures of season 1?
During the first season, Staten learned that Lauren’s mother – who is also sheriff (Philip Winchester) Wife – was the one driving when his son was a teenager, Randall (Hubert Smielecki), he died in hitting and running. Lucas’ brother Kit (Johnson) helped to cover the crime because of his relationship with Margaret (Sarah Minnich).
“In a possible season 2, I think it’s a huge part of what’s going on. We’re still in the room, so I don’t have every aspect to tell you. West are tales of morality, and so all aspects of this show, we always try to come from that base of love, lands and inheritance, and what that really means,” Blair told Blair Internal television. “The Sheriff Dan, this is his inheritance and his family and the people he loves. He has this moral choice. Does he do the right thing from his family and the wrong thing by his profession? That’s his morality moment, so we try to do that with everyone, but that’s the thing he tackles, and it is painful to do the right thing.”

“That could be the effect of its own entire impact, OG Love’s triangle from Canyon’s Ransom,” Blair suggested for Romance Staten with his late wife (played by Ava Phillippe in backlashes). “We would love to come back. It was amazing. I literally had a camera man on a set that came up and was like, ‘That girl looks just like Reese Witherspoon.’ I was like, ‘funny you should say that.’ “
Teenage and Quinn teenage years were introduced for a reason.
“We cast that character with a lot of care, even though he wanted this little piece, but we wanted to be ready and be able to use it more in the seasons of the future, or as his own show,” he continued. “I just thought it was fun, and also exactly what Ava brings it very much, bosing. It made it easier to communicate who that character was, and because Amalah deviates more than life in everyone’s world, and they always talk about her, we finally wanted her face, we wanted him to be someone who was exciting.”
Should fans expect to jump time?
“We would need to do that because I don’t want to do anything in New York,” Blair shared. “Quinn needs to go away and save his ranch, and we need to see what the implications are to that punch that Davis goes to do and how that plot between Davis and the father of Staten, the Senator, is similar.”
He finished: “I think we would probably do that because she says, ‘I’m going to go away for six months.’ So the idea at the moment, although nothing is set in stone, is that we would make at least a six -month time jump.
Are we about to enter the life of a ride villain?
While Reid and Lucas – and Lauren – ended Season 1 on good termsIt may not be so long.
“He should never have gone against his family. He was trying to do the right thing and he calculates what is right for him. He is constant in this battle of what is good,” explained the liner UsReferring to Reid going against his father. “I think it will be the most interesting stuff with his father, with his mother and calculate that world. Because we can’t see much of it in season 1 – although he has discussed a lot and we get to see a glimpse. I’m really enchanted with that.”

“Things are set up where everyone is in a love triangle in season 1 because it opens the door to the audience to say what they like,” he noted. “Then also hope we get another season. It gives our writers a chance and everyone can see what people like and then press into it more season 2.”
Greene sounded hopeful about where Lucas, Lauren and Reid could end.
“There is still a lot of love there and a lot of care for each other. That’s where everyone sits (because) there’s no hostility towards anyone. Everyone loves and worries about everyone,” she shared. “That’s why it ends as good is because although they are butting heads in the beginning, they both really admire each other.”
