Ryan Garcia revealed yesterday that he and Devin Haney have to win their respective fights on May 2, so that their resale took place in October.

This is a terrible news for Haney because he has a difficult fight against ex -WBC and Wbo heavy weight champion Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 kos). Even before Ryan pulled Devin’s starch last April, Ramírez would have been a type of naught opponent for him for his style, power and amateur pedigree.
Kingry’s Golden Boy promoter, Oscar de la Hoya, had previously leaked that Haney (31-0, 15 kos) should be victorious in his fight against Ramírez on the Times Square Card of New York City for reselling with Ryan to go down.
Garcia does not say what Flat b It will be for him and Devin if one or both fighters lose at the event on May 2. It will not be a big problem for Ryan if Haney hits because he has the resuscitation with Gervonta Davis that he could take and earn money in this struggle if tank is willing to reach 147. Ryan said he will not fight against the tank at 140 because he is too big for this division.
My Reyes over AK & BARAK: “So who is the following? Is Devin?”
Ryan Garcia: “It is Devin.”
Akin: “But he has to win (against Jose Ramirez on May 2).”
Ryan: “You have to win. We cannot look at our opponents. Yes, we have already faced and we are ready to go.”
If Haney loses to Ramirez, the best thing he can expect is a resale with him to try to rescue the situation by selling the defeat. Perhaps if Devin wins the second fight, Turki Alshikh could still be willing to fight with Garcia in early 2026.
Ryan and Hoya should not mark Haney’s victory in his fight against Ramírez on May 2. They should look at that struggle with open eyes, knowing that Haney’s chin is fragile and is likely to be sought after under the power of Ramírez. Jose and his coach, Robert Garcia, have already said that they will head to Haney’s glass jaw, seeking to eliminate him.
This translates to Ramírez, who moves through the fences with each shot that launches, focusing on scoring a tie. Although Haney has had a year to recover -the beating he took from Garcia last April, it may not be enough for the head to be about 100% for the power shots with which Ramirez will hit him.
