The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) All-Rounder Ramandeep Singh took an absolute cry to dismiss the Punjab Kings captain (PBKs) Shreyas Iyer on Tuesday, April 15.
Shreyas Iyer did not perform with the bat against his former Franco Kolkata Knight Riders at the 31st Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.

Shreyas Iyer falls for a 2 -ball duck
Iyer directed the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to the Indian Premier League title after a decade in the 2024 season of the competition. However, KKR was not preserved as a franchise and the player could not reach a mutual agreement.
Shreyas Iyer entered the auction, and Punjab Kings broke his bench to acquire his services for a crossroads of 26.75 crore, making him the second most expensive player in IPL history.
Later he was named new captain of the Kings Punjab and the battle of his team against his former team was very high by the stations ahead of the PBKs vs KKR shock at IPL 2025.
PBKs would have hoped that Shreyas Iyer would set the stage against KKR, but he couldn’t do it. He walked in the middle after Harshit Rana fired the workshop in shape, Priyansh Arya, in the second ball of the fourth.
Iyer started his entrances with a point, but went for a wild shot at the next ball. Harshit Rana launched an external delivery to Iyer, who sought to shake it through a limit.
However, he only managed to cut it from half the half of the flat, and Ramandeep Singh took a surprising capture at a deep back, putting a complete immersion to send yyer packing for a 2 ball duck. Following the dismissal of Shreyas Iyer, the KKR players were attractive and they were wild.

Speaking before the game, Ramandeep Singh spoke of the difference between Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy. He also said that Gautam Gambhir was replaced as Mentor KKR by Dwayne Bravo. He made:
“We miss an individual like Gautam Gambir and the things he brought to the team. But now we have a coach like DJ Bravo, who brings the same champion mentality to the team. And if we talk about Shreya and Ajinkya, both have been wonderful captains.
“While Ajinkya brings a lot of calm in the unevenness and all young people Idolten has also directed with its shape this season. And Shreyas, we all know the confidence it has and get the plan running from the team. Both are different, but they bring a lot on the table of each team.”
The KKR All-Rounder said he has received the role of the team’s management and lets himself win games for the team. He made:
“The KKR has given me the role to 5.6 or 7 years and do what the situation demands and to make the team win. We learn from all situations and helps us to analyze our game.
