Today’s call, Donald Trump made a big conversation with Russia Vladimir Putin.
But the results are similar to what you can shout about.
The Russian president gave the US leader enough to claim that he succeeded in Mira in Ukraine, without making it look the way the Kremlin played.
Trump may indicate Putin’s promise to stop attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure within 30 days. If this actually happens, it will bring some relief to civilians.
But this is nowhere near the complete and unconditional ceasefire that the United States wanted from Russia.
“Very horrible war” Trump insisted that he could stop, still Bush.
And Putin, A man who is accused of as a suspect by a war criminal of the ICCgot legs back to the highest level of global policy.
Russian state media reports that the phone call lasted more than two hours. Reading the Kremlin – its call accounting is also a long 500 words.
It presents the conversation as a balloon: they apparently discussed hockey and in detail that the audience returned in Russia.
Three years later, like a western world, and frosty relations long before, Russia returned directly with the US administration that wants to engage.
Both leaders even discuss peace in the Middle East and “global security”.
The Kremlin must believe in the transformation.
On the eve of the call, some wondered whether Donald Trump could actually pressure Russia. After all, it was clear for more than a week that he was detaining the ceasefire.
But there was no sign of change for Putin, as he, as the leader of Ukraine, Balladimir Zelensky, had to survive the Oval Cabinet two weeks ago.
The accounts of both countries believe that nothing has changed.
Russia repeats what the world wants. But instead of grounding drones and drowning weapons, it is pressed before you can control the non -existent ceasefire.
Meanwhile, it adds even more conditions aimed at crippling Kiev’s ability to resist.
One of the requirements is that the flow of both weapons and intelligence into Ukraine should stop.
For the Ukrainians, the only hope is that the US has not yet agreed to anything else.
They can also indicate the call as more evidence that Russia is not interested in stopping its invasion.
But everything that speaks will bring Ukraine minimal relief from its suffering.
Diplomacy must also be disappointing to us.
But for the Kremlin, it will feel quite a decent day, some kind of incredible, before Donald Trump returned to the White House.
