The Russian National Airline, Aeroflot, said it had canceled dozens of flights after the pro-Ukrainian hackers stated the attack on the carrier’s IT system.
In a statement, Hacking Group Silent Crow appealed with the help of Belarusian groups of cyberparty.
In the telegram “Silent crow” said that “long and large-scale operation … completely destroyed the Aeroflot’s IT system.
Aeroflot said he canceled more than 40 flights – mostly in Russia, but also the routes in Belarus and Armenia – which the Kremlin said he was “worried”.
The airline said the problem with its information system also led to extensive delays.
The silent crow also threatened to release “the personal data of all Russians who, if they flew aeroflot.”
“Glory to Ukraine! May the living Belarus!”, – concluded in the post.
Cyberparticas of the Belarusian group stated on their website: “We help the Ukrainians in their fight against the occupier, conducting cyber -aeroflot and paralyzing the largest airline in Russia.”
Anton Gorelkin, a Russian MP, said in a statement: “We should not forget that the war against our country is being waged on all fronts, including in digital.”
Hacker groups regularly exaggerate their successes and whether this last attack causes prolonged violations. BBC could not check any of the Silent Crow requirements.
However, the Russian prosecutor’s office confirmed that as a result of the hacker attack, a “failure in the operation of Aeroflot Information System” said and stated that a criminal investigation had been opened.
A number of passengers will be transferred to the flights run by other carriers, the Ministry of Transport said.
The pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian hacking groups were extremely active, because in 2022 a full invasion of Ukraine is difficult to find out when they boast various cyber-tanks, backed up by facts.

Silent Crow said they had cooperated with a long-established Belarusian Cyber Partisan group, which has been attacking targets in Russia and Belarus since 2022. Earlier in July, hundreds of flights were canceled at Moscow’s four major airports after the stable Ukrainian drone attack affected by tens of thousands.
