William, 42, held the hospital visit in Reading, England, where the first Covid victim died in the UK in March 2020.

William’s visit not only honored the pandemic’s poignant birthday, but also celebrated NHS charities together, a charitable network in the UK “which continues to help NHS staff, patients and local communities,” according to a press release published to Weekly US.
The organization raised more than £ 15 million, or approximately $ 19.2 million, following the launch of the urgent Covid-19 appeal in its first five days in March 2020, the press release said.
He added that the charity had gone on to raise more than £ 160 million, or around $ 205 million, to support hospital patients, staff and volunteers at the front line of the pandemic.
During his visit on Wednesday, William toured one of the UK’s first long covid clinics, partly funded by NHS charities together.
He also visited the hospital’s health and well -being center and garden, which has a free gym and green space for staff relaxation during their dormant time.
“A poignant visit to the Royal Berkshire Hospital to directly see the lasting impact of the support of the NHS charities together over the past five years, since the start of the Pandemic Covid,” he read a statement shared through William and Kate’s Joint Instagram Accountalongside pictures of the visit.
William and Kate, 43, have been joint sponsors for NHS charities together since December 2020. The couple visited the Royal Berkshire Hospital during a royal UK tour of the same month.
“Welcome back,” Graham Sims, Chairman of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, told Kate during the visit, back Hi! Journal.
