Prince William Celebrates 'Amazing' Kate Middleton on 43rd Birthday

Prince William shares a loving tribute to his wife, Princess Kate Middletonas she turned 43 years old.

“To the most amazing wife and mother. The strength you have shown over the past year has been amazing,” William, 42, wrote alongside a new photo of Kate shared through social media on Thursday, January 9. “George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W.”

William’s sweet message about his wife comes after Kate being diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer last year. In March 2024, Kate share“In January, I had major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was thought to be non-cancerous.”

“The operation was successful, however, tests after the operation found that cancer had been present. So my medical team said I should go on a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I’m now in the early stages of that treatment,” he continued.

Kate completed her chemotherapy treatment in September and since then he has started to return to work. William confirmed in November that Kate would do so “be doing a bit more” in 2025.

The couple, who share sons Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 9, married in April 2011.

Last year, William reflect on his difficult year after Kate and his father, King Charles IIIare being treated for cancer.

“This was probably the hardest year of my life,” William said at an Earthshot Award event in November. “So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been very difficult.”

In December, Kate held her annual “Together at Christmas” carol concert and addressed her health battle. “I didn’t know this year was going to be the year I’ve just had,” he told the singer Paloma Faith. “The unplanned. But, I think a lot of people this year have had such a challenging time.”

On December 25, the Princess of Wales tackle her cancer battle speaking to royal enthusiasts following the Christmas Day service at Sandringham.

“The number of people who have written this year is amazing and I think cancer really resonates with so many families,” Kate said, per footage obtained by the Daily Mail.

Addressing a supporter who was working in a cancer unit, Kate continued, “People like you do all the hard work out there. I am extremely grateful.”

After one woman told Kate, “We’re all behind you, never forget that,” the princess replied with a smile, “Thank you very much, (that’s) so kind.”
