Preity Zinta, a Bollywood actress and one of the KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited directors, has approached Chandigarh Court against Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia co -directors. The company owns the Ipl Kings Punjab franchise.
He has filed a lawsuit in court and challenged the legality of the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on April 21. Preity Zinta has stated that the meeting was held in violation of the Companies Law of 2013 and the rules of secretariat.
He has stated that the EGM was held despite the objections it raised by email on April 10. Preity Zinta has stated that his objections were ignored by Burman who advanced and held the meeting with the active support of Wadia.

Although he attended the meeting along with other counselors, he urged the court to declare the illegal and invalid EGM. The co -owner of Punjab Kings also prayed to curb the company and his owner’s companions to give effect to any resolution that was approved at the meeting.

During the meeting, Munesh Khanna was appointed director despite Zinta’s objections and another director Karan Paul. Zinta, in his lawsuit, has urged the court to prevent Khanna from acting or remaining as director of the company.
He also urged court to curb the company and other directors to convene any meeting of general meetings or meetings and/or to carry out any business related to the company’s affairs without his presence and that of Paul, and in the presence of Munesh Khanna, during the sketch of demand.
According to reports, the court has already issued warnings to the defendants to file answers in response to the lawsuit.
