According to CAP Graham Potter, Niclas Fulkrug’s weekend outbreak, in which he accused his teammates of West Ham for lack of motivation in the locker room, according to Cape Graham Potter.

German striker, Fulkrug, went to the media after the 1-1 Saturday tie with Southampton already relegated and left his irritation, telling BBC Sport: “It’s a mentality problem. Today very angry.

“Not disappointed, just angry with what we did after the target. It was difficult to return the boys to push us -we no longer pushed.

“We tried, but we did not have the ability or motivation to push again. I am very angry that we play like that.

“We were s *** and I’m really angry.”

Hammers’ fans are back to Fullkrug but not the Potter head

Fulkrug’s outburst was recounted for many Hammers’ fans, unhappy that the club is the 17th in the Premier League, but Potter believes that it should not be made public with his opinions.

Potter, speaking before Saturday’s trip to his former Brighton Club, said: “I think he (Fullkrug) wears his heart on his sleeve.

“I would disagree with him in some things and he would agree with him in others.

“But he has the right to his opinion. As a senior player, we have had many honest conversations. And I think it is better to have the conversations in private, not in public.

“Then, as a group, we go.

We have a responsibility: Potter

Potter says it is sometimes advisable to think about the biggest picture.

He added, “We have a responsibility with the team and the club. And from my perspective, sometimes I could be honest about how I really feel. But I don’t think it’s useful for players. I don’t think it’s useful for the club.

“Therefore, we must all be aware of our responsibilities.”
