The story will be made independently of the result at the Alianz Arena in Munich on Sunday, with Portugal and Spain facing “The Iberians Derby” to become the first team to win the Trophy of the League of Nations for the second time.
Portugal won the inaugural competition at the end of the 2018-19 season, while Spain are the current headlines that have defeated the Netherlands in 2023.
Cristiano Ronaldo directed the Seleção that day six years ago and the 40-year-old will start again in Portugal again on Sunday after scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 semifinals victory against Germany on Wednesday.
Ronaldo’s scorer continues to create his age. Its strike against Germany, its 137th international goal, was its 42nd goal for the club and the country this season.
After having recently ruled out playing in the Club Cup this summer, the striker will hopes that it can end with a domestic season without trophies with some international platforms.
In the meantime, Spain will enter the game as small favorites. The European champions are the highest ranked European team in the world rankings of FIFA and surpassed France in a memorable victory of the 5-4 semifinal on Thursday courtesy of another dazzling performance by the Lamine Yamal teenager.
The Barcelona Prodigy and Ballon d’Or answering, 17, will be the titular act of the side of Luis de la Fuente, but the staff of La Roja is full of young talent, in the form of a pedri, Nico Williams and the new sign of Real Madrid, Dean Hujsen.

Both teams are almost unfairly quality blessed. In Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Joao Neves, Portugal have three of the winning stars in the PSG Champions League, while also having an abundance experience in Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias.
They are all in shape and are available, with the director Roberto Martinez known to maintain faith with their main group of players. It seems likely that Vitinha, possibly the best central midfielder in European football at the club right now, will return to the initial 11th after its substitute appearance against Germany.
For Spain, the Fuente was directly in its post-France: “I don’t have to change much on Sunday.”
He was referring to his team’s style of play, but it seems unlikely that staff will change so much.
Yamal, Nico Williams and Pedri are in shape, while Fabian Ruiz, another key figure in the Triumph of the PSG Champions League, could also begin after running for 25 minutes at the semifinal.
Portugal: Diogo Costa; Nelson Semedo, Ruben Dies, Gonçalo Inacio, Nuno Mendes; Vitinho, Bruno Fernandes, Joao Neves; Bernardo Silva, Ronaldo, Pedro Neto
