Pope Francis, who has been fighting pneumonia and bronchitis for more than three weeks, showed a “good response” to treatment, the Vatican said.
“The clinical state of the Holy Father has remained stable in recent days and thus indicates a good reaction to treatment,” the Vatican said.
“So, there is a gradual, slight improvement,” he added.

The Argentine Pontiff has not been spotted in public since entering the hospital, its longest retreat from a public view since its papacy began 12 years ago.
He was hospitalized at the hospital on February 14 after breathing difficulties – and for the first time he was treated with bronchitis before making a diagnosis of pneumonia in both lungs.
It is particularly vulnerable to pneumonia, a lung infection, which can be caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi, after it infected pleur, – as a young man and had partial lung removal.
Pope doctors believe he will probably face long road to recovery from his age and medical history.
