The Polish Foreign Minister reports the BBC, there is evidence that Moscow was behind a large shopping mall

The Polish Foreign Minister says there is evidence that Russia has recruited people to exchange telegram to carry out a massive fire in the past shopping mall in Warsaw.

Speaking to the BBC in an exclusive interview, Radek Sikorski said Moscow’s actions were “completely unacceptable” and that as a result the second Russian consulate in Poland.

His comments come after The Polish investigation concluded that the Mervilsk Fire was organized by Moscow special services.

Russia denied its involvement, Kremlin’s press -secretary Dmitry Peskov accused Poland of “Russian”.

In May 2024, the fire destroyed 1400 small enterprises, with many employees belonging to the Vietnamese Vietnamese community.

“We have evidence that they ordered people living in Poland, they ordered them in a telegram and paid them to set fire to this huge shopping center,” Sikorski said on Monday.

“The miracle was not injured, but this is completely unacceptable.”

The Foreign Minister told the BBC that he had decided that Russia’s presence in Poland should be “further” and that the Russian consulate in Krakow was closed to try to make Moscow a more difficult “spy” in Poland.

“We will make further decisions if they continue these hybrid attacks,” Sikorski said.

A hybrid war is a term used to describe how a hostile state carries an anonymous, negative attack, usually in very suspicious circumstances.

This will be sufficient to harm the enemy, especially their infrastructure assets, but stop being attributed to the act of war.

Now there is only one consulate in Poland, next to the embassy. The mission in the city of Poznan was closed last year after Warsaw accused Russia of acts of sabotage and cyberwood.

Asked on Monday, why Poland not just tore all diplomatic ties, Sikorski said, “I hope it will not come to it.”

Responding to the closure of the Krakow Consulate, Pesko said: “All these accusations are absolutely groundless, unjustified.

“There are many different accusations against Russia in Poland. This part is absolutely Russophobic and unfriendly to our country.”

He added: “As for the reduction of Russia’s diplomatic presence in Poland, these are integral parts of the total network aimed at curtailing the already exiled state of bilateral relations. Poland chooses hostility and dislike for us.”

Ever since a complete invasion of Russia into Ukraine in 2022, Poland has detained and condemned several people accused of sabotage on behalf of Russian special services.

The press secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, meanwhile, told the state media: “Warsaw continues to deliberately destroy relations, acting against the interests of citizens.”

Poland conducted a long -standing investigation into the mall before concluding that the fire was organized by an unnamed man in Russia.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Sunday that some of them were already in custody, and everyone else was allegedly identified and spent in search.

Many workers lost important documents and large sums of funds in the fire that was stored in the mall because of fear of the beginning of the house.

Another shopping center in Warsaw, Modlinska 6D, was opened last October, and traders moved their business to a new site.
