The Congress Committee in Peru dismissed President Dina Boluart’s investigation over the accusations she has taken as Rolex watched the bribe.
The solution of the subcommittee means Bolwart – whose approval ratings are in singles – protected from the impeachment procedure while in power.
However, it can potentially still face allegations if it left the next year and lose its presidential immunity.
In a corruption investigation, called “Rolexgate”, in March 2024, she was rated by police, and the authorities searched for more than a dozen luxury hours that Baluorte allegedly did not declare.
The investigation began after the news report drew attention to the luxury hours she wore at public events.
The raid came after the prosecutor’s office refused her request for more time to respond to a summons asking her evidence of a purchase for her hours. The government was also searched.
The Peru government called raid as “disproportionate and unconstitutional” last year.
Bolwart insisted on the fact that she entered the power of “clean hands” and that she would “leave him with his clean hands”, saying that her rolex was an old subject she bought with his 18 years.
The president also faces a separate probe over a two -week absence in 2023 for the operation on the nose during which she did not delegate powers.
Boluarter became president after her predecessor Pedro Castile was recorded when he tried to dissolve Congress and manage the decree.
Dozens of people were killed in the fighting after being displaced during fierce protests that require Bolouart.
The next presidential and legislative elections will take place in April 2026.
