The former Stuart Pearce, an international in England, recovers at Canada Hospital after a medical emergency on board a United States flight.
The 62 -year -old had been in Las Vegas attending the clash of the Super League between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves when he fell sick to his Virgin Atlantic flight at home.
After receiving an on -board treatment, a decision was made for the aircraft to make an emergency disembarkation, although Pearce’s Talksport colleague, Sam Matterface, said he was “a great spirit.”
Matterface, who reported the game between Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, two of the old Pearce Clubs, which Forest won 1-0, said, “Yesterday I spoke to him (Pearce), he has a great spirit.
“It’s not 100%, it’s definitely the case, but it’s in the right place, it’s in the hospital. They are trying.
“He is a little disappointed not to be here (the field of the city), he was more frustrated by this.
