By Frank Bay: The old Pug Paulie Malignaggi has been critical of Turki Alralikh and Dana White lately at his podcast Paulie TV. Paulie is a good watch because it is entertaining, while also understanding the inner operation of the boxing.
It becomes genuine and it is known that Dana White does not like. He claims that there may be a little bias against Dana and Turki because he works for Pro Box TV. Paulie made it known that his Pro Box TV and Tuki Alralikh platform are competitors within the boxing business. He claims that Turki has banned Pro Box TV from having access to his events. There have been other social media boxing platforms in what seems to be a case of not kissing the ring that has also been denied access to Turki’s boxing events. This has raised red flags inside the industry, which Paulie tries to light.
Red flags
Paulie says he will still talk about Turki’s adventure with Dana White, TKO, as objectively as possible. Listening to what Paulie TV had to say, my ears were also ready. I want to share my thoughts on Paulie’s interrogation about Turki and Dana White League 2026.
Payment rankings and stairs
The questions arising were based on the filtration of the inbound fighters salary scale and the classification system by which the fighter will be paid. The wage ladder reported was that of a newly signed Fighter Fighter. For those who are not sure what it is, it is what an amateur about to become a professional would be guaranteed according to the lows.
It is designed to pay the fighters fairly based on a classification system. It would start to classify at the bottom and your pay would increase if, for example, you climbed at number 15, then #10, then #5, etc. The difference that this differs, for example, a prominent Olympic signed by a major promoter is that stipulations would pay much more for minor struggles, simply due to the talent pedigree.
Paulie wonders why a higher talent would go with Turkey only to be pigeons at least equal to much less talented, traveling on a much tougher path? This new system of payments and rankings in the league would make no sense for future first -class talents, if those who started their careers with ‘TKO’ Turkis.
Pros and cons?
Paulie argues that the highest talents are best adapted to established promoters, such as, because they have proven to be the best talent guides. The highest talent with the maximum place will be paid much more in the guaranteed lows as they travel along the road to a championship. During this race, the upper rank will coincide with them as carefully as possible, usually between 10 and 15 fights, which fans consider the cannon feed or the record for fights. Paulie says this is good for the young fighter.
Elaborating that once they reach the sanctioning organisms, their remuneration will increase significantly. As an amateur, we see that the best range is one of the best to guide (that is, to make) his talent. Case, by point, Keyshawn Davis recently. Davis was considered a leading talent when becoming a professional. The first rank has been able to create Keyshawn on a champion without many problems.
Keyshawn was able to collect his record with 10 to 12 relative cannon feed fights. Allowing it to place it in a main position with a classification organization like the WBO until it was given a title. Davis was fortunate that he was first, who also had the champion at the time, Denys Berinchyk, making the title struggle easy to make. The warning is that Berinchyk was considered the weakest link champion. Paulie would say that this situation is good for the fighter. Davis was able to make a small fortune fighting less than the stellar competition, on the way to become a champion where he will make a lot more money.
Paulie says tko has different plans
Depending on how you look at the situation of Keyshawn Davis, fans can see that it is good for the fighter, but bad for boxing. From Paulie’s realization of how Tko plans to pay his young fighters, it seems that the old way to build a fighter will be a thing of the past. Paulie believes that the way Tko plans to build his champions will be good for the company, but he is bad for fighters.
The young talent signed with Dana White and Tko will not be paid well in order to celebrate taxi drivers, can make a bright 30-0 record with 27 kos. No, the stroke seems that young fighters equalized from day one. They will be paid decisively based on their performance. Outside, it seems fair, but not Paulie. He sees it as an important problem if you want to build main boxing stars.
The main argument, which seems to be very meaningful, is the simple one, that when the young talent reaches the summit, it will burn. Paulie, having been a fighter, claims that in the boxing, it is not possible to have a hard struggle after the hard struggle. A major group of boxers who are constantly struggling with chilling struggles will mean that no one can ascend and become a world superstar.
They will all hit and their skills and bodies will erode too quickly to have long -lasting races like legends of the past. The Durans, Leonard’s, from Hoyas and Canelos, contrary to belief, were carefully paired and guided. They did not fight the killer after the killer, or not. They had sections of mediocre opponents, and they spent time Ao did not take certain fights.
On the way to l’Escala, they did not fight the boys immediately. Pauli says that it is the operation of boxing and that it is how you can manage and build guys that have a race of 10, 15 or even 20 years. In the TKO format, you would be lucky enough to have a reigning champion for more than 2 years. With TKO, yes, you would get large games from young contestants to champions, but it would not last long. After a few years, your talent pool would be severely exhausted. For young fighters, this means going with TKO, you may have too much harm on your way to a championship that your career will be very short. And then what?
For the fans is Paulie correct or is too glued to the old ways of the boxing business? And if you were your child struggling, what route would you guide you? I agree with Paulie for the most part. I think TKO will be good for the fans, but it is bad for the fighters in the long run.
