Charli XCX Brought out an explosion of Neon Green – and the stars – for her show header at the London Lido Festival on Saturday, June 14.
In addition to curating the festival’s Saturday Lineup with collaborators of her viral Matt Remix album, Britain’s pop star, often took the stage for a frenetic, often chaotic display, but always entertaining from its biggest hits.
The headline show marked the return home of all kinds to Charli, 32, brought up in Essex, a short distance from East London Victoria Park, the festival site on Saturday. The tone was celebrated as fans wore green neon costumes in tribute to the girl of the hometown, and it was clear from the frenzy in the audience that Charli had done: she was now Bona Video’s main action after years of supporting slots at similar festivals.
Starting the evening’s party vibrates with the remix to “365,” the singer reeled off a variety of hits of her infectious album, who won Grammy, who won Grammy, Mattincluding “Von Dutch” and the “popular, confusing girl” Remix.
