Australia National cricket team skipper Pat Cummins it was all praise for the Indian national cricket team jasprit bumrah for his effort with the ball in the fourth Test at the MCG. But the host skipper felt no sympathy for the visitors’ vice-captain to end up on the losing side.
In what was an extreme for the Indian fans, Jasprit Bumrah, despite giving his best effort with the ball, ended up on the losing side. The Australian National Cricket Team thrashed the Indian National Cricket Team by a huge margin of 184 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
Bumrah was simply better with the ball in the fourth Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. The first pacer, despite not getting support from others, gave his best and occasionally rattled the team led by Pat Cummins.
With others not supporting him, Bumrah had to do most of the bowling and despite being tired, he did not back down and continued to play with the same intensity for his team. Although he was caught for a few runs in the first innings, he picked 4 wickets for his team.
Bumrah’s best effort came in the second innings of the match where he picked another pineapple and brought his team back into the game. The opening pacer bowled close to 53 overs and despite that ended up on the losing side due to poor batsman efforts.
Pat Cummins praised Jasprit Bumrah, saying the fast bowler is the most influential player and has made things difficult for them in the series. The Australian national cricket team skipper also said that the Indian pacer was a big threat for them. Speaking to reporters, he explained;
“Yeah, he’s obviously a good bowler in great form. You know, he’s been their most influential player. He’s made it difficult for us at times. You know, I thought all their players bowled really well yesterday .
“Again, I don’t think the pitch was doing too much, but they made it really hard on us and they worked hard. So I thought, yeah, they all played pretty well. You know, he, in particular, is the biggest. threat.”
Pat Cummins was also asked if he feels empathy for the loss of Jasprit Bumrah after such a match. In response to this, the Australian national cricket team skipper said: “Empathy? Not too much, no.”
The 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy is currently in favor of the Australian National Cricket Team. They lead the series 2-1 and the next game is set to take place from January 3.
