Hyderabad (SRH), directed by Pat Cummins (SRH), appeared in his 13th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Jitesh Sharma Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Friday, May 23.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the 65th IPL 2025 game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru for 42 runs at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium by Lucknow.

A good full effort with bat and dance – Pat Cummins
Being invited to Bat First, Srh was able to publish a great marker of 231/6 on the board, thanks to an impressive performance by Ishan Kishan, who struck a 94 unbeaten of 48 balls. Abhishek Sharma (34), Aniket Verma (26) and Heinrich Klaasen (24) also entered with good runs.

During the post-party presentation ceremony, Pat Cummins was not completely happy with his team, as he said they offered a good performance “a little too late” at the IPL 2025. He said:
“A little too late this season, but a good effort with bat and dance. Now that Nitish returns to bowls, we feel that we have a real sixth ballist. Abhishek always tells me that it is a good option and that it should use it.”
As much power for someone not as high as some: Pat Cummins in Ishan Kishan
Pat Cummins gave Massive Praise to Ishan Kishan by his heroics and revealed that they had read the pitch badly. Pat Cummins said:
“As much power for someone who is not as high as some (talking about Kishan). We actually mistaken -we thought it could have been a 170 wick, and then all the batters returned and said that it is a very good wicket and move on.
In the end, Pat Cummins praised Malinga, who has appeared as one of SRH’s best performers in the continued season of the Indian Premier League. Said:
“It has been great (malinga). Where you spilled it, he has taken doctors. He has a lot of tool: the fast yorker and the bigst ball slower. It was a find this season.”
How was SRH’s performance in the previous RCB shock?
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a bad departure against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their previous IPL confrontation on April 25, 2024 at the International Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Pursuing a great goal of 207, Srh failed under pressure and was restricted to 171/8.
