Panthers coach is tackling Nic Scourton suffering in the lungs in practice

Carolina Panthers coach Dave channels tackles a rookie Nic Scourtonrecent injury.

Canales, 44, explained that Scourton, 20, was initially diagnosed with heat -related symptoms after a joint exercise with the Houston Texans on Thursday, August 14.

“It was a very physical drama,” Canales said of the practice, according to an Espnat A report published on Saturday, August 16. “It was presenting as heat fatigue because it struggled to breathe.”

He added, “He was tired of all, so we kind of cooled him down, (but) we couldn’t get him to respond well enough to where we felt comfortable about putting him back in place.”

Canales shared that the NFL player was transported to Houston Hermann Memorial Medical Center for observations, where at the time it was decided suffered lungs.

Canales explained that Scourton was a Memorial Hermann on Thursday before traveling back to Charlotte, North Carolina, by car alongside his family members and athletic coach. Scourton arrived there on Saturday.

As for when Scourton could return to the football pitch, Canales explained that he was “really a week to week with those kinds of things.”

“I’ve heard from coaches, from various coaches, where a man played next week,” said Canales. “So we have to be smart on that one and let you know where we immediately return to Charlotte.”
