Palestinians say

Palestinians in Gaza say they were fired again when they headed to one of the centers of assistance, which is run by Israeli and the US Humanitarian Fund on Monday.

Witnesses said they were fired for the first time by Palestinian militants near the GHF location near Tal-Al-Sultan Rafa, in the south. They also said that Israeli troops fired at them.

Gaza Hamas’s Ministry of Health said six people were killed and 99 were injured in the assistance collection.

Israeli military said they considered the reports.

GHF said the Tal-Al-Sultan site was not opened on Monday, and there were no cases that were distributed on the other sites.

It happened a few days after the Israeli Prime Minister acknowledged that he had armed the Palestinian clans in gas against Hamas.

Almost every day, as GHF began to disseminate assistance on May 26, there were deaths that he opened near certain four centers.

Dozens of Palestinians were killed while approaching one site in the Tal-Al-Sultana Rafa area along the route passing through the Israeli military zone.

In previous incidents, witnesses said Israeli forces opened fire in crowds. The Israeli military denied that the troops fired on civilians on the spot, but said the troops fired at the “suspects” who ignored the warning and approached them.

In the incident on Monday, people at the scene said that Palestinian militants fired them as well as Israeli troops.

They said the militants seemed to be linked to the Israeli forces when they acted near them and moved back to the Israeli military zone.

One witness said that BBC Arabic’s Bright East Daily Program saw a group of young people dressed in civilian clothes and are completely covered with their faces when he arrived in the area to get a GHF Food Assistance box.

“At first, we thought they could help the Palestinian youth who help in the process, but suddenly they started shooting at us,” Hisham Salem said.

“Even those who managed to get a help box were sent and shot. We still don’t know who the attackers are. They took everything from us – some even stole from us during the chaos,” he added.

Another man, Mohammed Sakut, said: “A few young people were shot at me immediately. I narrowly escaped death – some bullets went only from my head.”

“At first they fired from the Israeli Army civilians. But today we were shocked, revealing the presence of gangs and militias,” he added.

At the Nasser Hospital in the neighboring city of Khan Yunis, a seriously injured man who was treated for a firearms on his neck, Mohammed Kabaga told the Associate Press: “A group of masked armed men who organized us, starting with us.”

“We went to get help. They said to stand in line. We stood in line, and suddenly they started shooting at us. While I was standing, I was surprised when the bullet hit me, I was dizzy and fell,” he said.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have stated the BBC that it was considering reports.

A statement by GHF said that on Monday, two sites in the Saudi district of Rafa and Vadi Gaza were opened in the center of the strip, and that “the distribution of assistance on both sites was held without incidents.”

When asked by BBC about Tal Al-Sultan messages, GHF spokesman said there was nothing on our sites.

However, a report on the Facebook account report said on Monday that the Tal-Al-Sultan Center was closed due to the “chaos of the crowd”.

GHF Temporary Executive Director John Akre said he has put more than 11 million dishes “without injuries and serious incidents on our distribution sites.”

The Gaza Ministry said the hospitals received only 127 dead and 1287 victims from “areas designed to distribute assistance” during the same period.

GHF, which uses private US security contractors aimed at bypassing the UN as the main provider of the Palestinians.

The UN and other assistance groups refuse to cooperate with the new system, saying that it is contrary to the humanitarian principles of neutrality, impartiality and independence.

They also warn that 2.1 million Gaza population faces catastrophic hunger after almost three -month common Israeli blockade, which was partially reduced three weeks ago.

The US and Israel say the GHF system will prevent the abduction of Hamas aid that the group denies.

The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the attack under the guidance of Hamas on South Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people hostage.

According to the Ministry of Health of the territory, at least 54,927 people were killed in gas.
