Pakistan’s former coach Mickey Arthur Jason Gillespiethat has long contacted the headlines. He said the Pakistan cricket shot on his foot and his worst enemy.
The Pakistan’s National Cricket team was affected by another hustle and bustle after they had a horrible departure to the ICC Champions Troophy 2025. Mohammad Rizwan-Lida, despite being the host of the tournament, failed to win a single game and faced a group in the group after losing to New Zealand and India.
Following the poor departure of the ICC 2025 champions trophy, the main coach AAQIB Javed blamed the change of direction as a reason for the poor performances of Pakistan. He said that the PCB changed 16 coaches and 26 selectors, which made it difficult for the team to trust.
However, Jason Gillespie, who was the red ball coach of Pakistan before Aaqib Javed called the current clown coach, said he underwent him and Gary Kirsten (Pakistan White Ball Coach before Javed) behind the scenes to be the coach in all formats.
Mickey Arthur, sharing his dam, Mickey Arthur said that Pakistan’s cricket is his enemy. He said that the country has wonderful talent, and when Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie were designated as coaches, he thought they were on the right track. Speaking to Talksport, he said:
“I love this quote to be brutally honest. Jason Gillespie is a wonderful coach and a wonderful man. Pakistan’s cricket continues to shoot on his foot. It’s his worst enemy. There are so many good players; now they have the resources; there are so much young talent.
“They have an incredible skill. And yet it is so chaotic. It’s really disappointing to see -I thought when they signed Gillespie and Kirsten, they had dropped exactly on the right route and had some really good players. Because they are ultimately the players who lose.”
Mickey Arthur noted that Pakistan has good coaches, but admitted that the schedules of running against each other are something that is putting them on their backs. He added that Pakistan’s cricket is a jungle and said he has no doubt that Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten were diminished. He made:
“Some truly good coaches had achieved that they could go ahead. But then that machine that works in Pakistan, which only holds the Seta and the agendas drives to the media.
“It’s a jungle around here and I feel desperately for Gary and Jason. There is no doubt in my mind that they were diminished because it is to the detriment of the players and, finally, to the detriment of Pakistan’s cricket.”
