The PCB has officially restricted the participation of the Pakistan champions officially in the World Legend Championship, citing biased decisions and favorite of the authorities, just before the preparation of the Asia Cup 2025 begins.

PCB confirms the removal of Pakistan from the important tournament ahead of the Asia Cup 2025
The PCB has imposed a ban on Pakistan’s participation in future parties in the World Legend Championship. This was an important step after the PCB found the WCL authorities response to the retirement of India champions of a match against Pakistan’s champions as a bias and hypocrite.
“The PCB, during its 79th Bog Meeting, which remained practically under the presidency of Mohsin Naqvi reviewed with considerable disappointment of the award of WCL award points to a voluntarily losing team …”
“… and the content of the WCL press communiqués announcing the cancellation of Indian scheduled matches vs. Pakistan, who were hypocrisy and bias,” said a PCB statement mentioned by Ians.
The PCB made it clear to its thoughts that cite this movement as a disregard for the principles of sports neutrality and, therefore, are forced to take measures before the participation of the Asia Cup 2025.
“In the eyes of this unfortunate development, which underlines a clear and intolerable pattern of external influence and an ignorance of the principles of sports neutrality, Pakistan Cricket Board is obliged to take a firm position.”
“The PCB can no longer condition participation in an event in which the fundamental principles of the just game and the impartial administration are committed to external pressures,” said the PCB.

After India’s champions decided to remove from the group stage game, the authorities distributed the points between the two parties and the PCB did not have a position on it, as the Council did not control the participation of the Pakistan champions in the WCL.
This took place after the Asia Cup match was announced between India and Pakistan. Asia Cup 2025 faced severe criticism of the calendar.
Later, Pakistan’s champions were humiliated when India’s champions decided to retire from the semifinals, and instead honored their nation by changing them for a walk.
Pakistan champions entered the competition finals directly, although this has been the PCB for non -participation in the competition, as they have imposed a ban on using “Pakistan” in private leagues like the WCL.
Cup Asia 2025: Pakistan champions lost two consecutive finals to WCL
Pakistan champions appeared in the consecutive editions of the World Legends Championship, and qualified for the finals in both seasons.
Pakistan’s champions lost to India champions in the 2024 WCL final, and then lost to the South Champions -Africa in the WCL 2025 final. They still expect a title, while PCB now imposes the ban on subsequent participation.
