Paige Desorbo flows over the best parts of being single in its 30s.
“I haven’t felt I had to enjoy it because I’ve been doing so much,” Desorbo, 32, said on the episode on Wednesday, April 16, of the “Dear Chelsea” A podcast with reference to his new singlled. “That’s probably the best part about being single: being home on my own on a Saturday night. I love it. I’ve never bored on my own.”
Desorbo joined her Summation Costar and Cohost the podcast “giggly squad” Hannah Bernerwhom she co-authors the book How to gig: a guide to take a less seriouspublished on Tuesday, April 15.
“As I am in my 30s and being single, it is – I was very nervous,” continued Desorbo. “I mean, when I was 25 I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll obviously be married by my early 30s,’ and now I’m 32 and I’m single, I couldn’t imagine (be married). I wouldn’t – I don’t think I would like. I am not ready. I don’t already know I’m not ready.”

In their book, Desorbo and Berner address the “loser epidemic” dating in your 30s, as well as what it means to “decenter men” in your personal and dating life.
“I once had a therapist telling me, as I have never chosen my own love,” Desorbo shared. “It’s exactly kind of me. She was absolutely right. I could never come over that. Like, ‘Oh my God, I never picked one single of them. They’re all chosen and I’ve just gone with him.”

He added, “But if I had made a decision based on my career because I didn’t want me to, I don’t know where I would be. So I feel that is also part of guaranteed men. You can’t make decisions based on what they say to you or what they want because, again, they are losing.”

Desorbo is fresh single after separating roads with Craig Conover in November 2024. The pair had been dating since 2021 after growing closely during term 1 of Wintgo on to pop up in shows like Summation and The charm of the south over their three -year relationships.
