Outstanding Jewish activists of Baikot Israeli Anti -Semitism

Famous figures, including several Jewish leaders, remained in Baku from the International Anti -Semitism Conference held in Jerusalem, in protest against the inclusion of politicians from all over Europe related to the extreme right.

Those who refused to attend included their own Israeli president and the UK chief, Sir Yafrem Mirvis.

At the conference, the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning about the growth of anti -Semitism.

He said that Europe risks to allow anti -Semitism to remain unanswered in the same way, leading to the Nazi Holocaust.

“Racial anti -Semitism spil the global war against the existence of Jews as a race that eaten human societies,” his father wrote in 1933, Netanyahu said.

“Today,” he said, “we are issuing a similar warning. The fate of free societies is related to the readiness to fight anti -Semitism. “

But the inclusion in the event of representatives of European extreme right parties such as the national action of France, Vox Spain and Sweden Democratswas proven controversial.

The UK government’s anti -Semitism adviser Lord Mann has abandoned his invitation, saying: “The UK cannot know anything about the fight against the anti -Semitism of some of these heroes.”

The main rabbi Mirvis refused to participate, “learning about visiting a number of right-wing populist politicians,” the statement issued last week said.

Israeli President Isaac Duke was also not present. Instead, he held his own separate event with Jewish leaders in what was considered a compromise.

The conference was organized by Amich Chikley, the Minister of the Israeli Diaspora, and an open member of the right -wing Lituda Netanyahu party. Over the past few months, Chikli has been in ties with far -off parties across Europe over the past few months.

At the beginning of last year, he met the Swedish leader of the Democrats who visited Jerusalem, and was a speaker at the Vox Conference in Madrid.

Chikli defended the inclusion in Europe in extreme right -wing politicians, saying that they were faced with “lies that spread against them who slandered the state of Israel all over the world.”

Among those at the conference, the presence of which caused a certain embarrassment, was the president of the national rally Jordan Bardell, whose party originally founded Jean-Marie Le Pen, a man accused of anti-Semitism and found guilty of refusing the Holocaust.

Jean -Marai was expelled from the party – then called the National Front – in 2015 his daughter Marine Infantry about his comments that the Holocaust was “detailed” history. But after his death in January, she said she couldn’t “forgive herself” for it.

29 -year -old brothel – the rising star of French law – performed on stage, where he acknowledged the “excellent symbolic meaning” of his invitation to Israel.

While he definitely did not refer to his party’s past, he made the promise of his future under Marin Le Pen, who heads the group in parliament.

“I would like to tell you honestly, through my positions, its proposals and unwavering before this threat, a national action led by Marin Le Pen, is the best shield for France’s Jews,” he said.

“Islamism is a 21st century totalitarianism,” he warned. “It threatens to destroy everything that is wrong,” his party often expressed the claim that France is faced with the “Islamist threat”.

Earlier, Bardel visited some places where Hamas pursued the attacks on October 7, 2023, and the Israeli Vashem Holocaust Memorial Institute.

The conference also reminded how Israel sees itself under the attack of the international community. Discussions were held on topics, including “Deciding Anti -Israel’s Prejudice in International Institutions”, “How radical Islam nourishes anti -Semitism in the West?” and “double standards, from the battlefield to the ICC”.

The ICC – the International Criminal Court – issued a warrant for the arrest of Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Joaw Galanta over the alleged war crimes against Palestinians.

This step has caused indignation in Israel, which accused the ICC of the motivation of anti -Semitism.
