Organizers say

Tens of thousands of vacationers arrived in Belgium tomorrow, a day after the fire destroyed the main stage of the festival.

The organizers of the festival insist that the event in the city of Boom south of Antwerp will continue without the stage, adding that they are “focused on finding solutions”.

No one was injured in the blast on Wednesday, and experts are working to determine the cause.

The Electronic Dance Music festival should start on Friday, and 400,000 people are expected to attend two weekends.

Hundreds of artists are expected to perform, including David Gueta, lost frequencies, Swedish mafia and Charlotte de Witte.

The local fire service has announced the site safe, and it will now be decided on whether the structure should be demolished before the festival starts on Friday.

Camping, known as Dreamville, has opened, and the organizers still say the event will continue this weekend.

In his latest message on Instagram on Thursday, Tomorrowland said: “It is impossible to put in words what we feel.”

It adds that the main scene of Orbis “was not just a scene … It was a living light.”

The organizers said they worked at night to come up with decisions. On Thursday morning a meeting with security experts and members of local self -government was held to discuss an emergency plan.

Rumsto Mayor, north of Boom, told local media that another meeting would be held in the afternoon, which discusses more ideas for the alternative to the main stage.

“The cancellation of the festival is the last thing we want to do,” said Jurgen Calarts.

There are 14 more stages at the festival, which is much smaller than the main scene.

The fire started around 6:00 pm local time (16:00 GMT) on Wednesday. The video posted on social media showed that the thick gray smoke covered the stage.

Some residents were evacuated when firefighters worked to stop the flames reach neighboring houses and forest.

One employee who worked on the site described the “apocalyptic scene” when the fire started.

“We suddenly heard the blast and saw a fire near the stage, a huge amount of fire,” said the unnamed man newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.

“We just put on his finish strokes. Another day and it will be over. Four weeks of work … passed in half an hour.”

Tomorrowland began in 2005 and became the largest electronic dance festival in the world, attracting music fans from each continent.
