Nottingham Forest has confirmed the appointment of Edu Gaspar as Global Football Chief.
The ex -Arsenal and Brazil has played several executive roles since the end of his career.
After working as a sports director in Corinthians and as General Coordinator of the Brazil National Selection, Edu became the technical director of Arsenal in July 2019 before moving to the role of sports director in November 2022.
Left the arsenal in November last year, when it was reported that it was be aligned by a top paper Supervise the forest and the other two clubs owned by Evangelos Marinakis, Olympiacos and Rio Ave.
Forest on Monday announced Edu’s appointment, stating that he will “supervise all football -related functions, including recruitment, performance, squad strategy and players development.”
He said on his official website: “I am really excited about this new chapter and honored by the confidence he raised.
“This project deeply connects with my values about long -term innovation and planning. I hope to create a competitive global football model, sustainable and aligned with the ambition of our President.”
Marinakis added: “We are very happy to welcome Edu to our family of football. His global experience, his values and the winning mentality are perfectly aligned with our goal to strengthen and expand our international football platform.”
Edu’s appointment arrives after the season of the most successful Premier League in Forest from third place in 1994-95.
Forest was the surprise package of the 2024-25 season, ending the seventh, as they lost closely in a Champions League place with the defeat at Chelsea the last day.
