Nottingham Forest has agreed an agreement to sign James McATEE of Manchester City for up to £ 30 million, according to reports.
The 22 -year -old midfielder arrived at the City Academy and starred in England U21 this summer when young lions retained their crown from the European Championship.
It is believed that the sales and purchase clauses have been included in the agreement between the two clubs.
Forest, who will play in the Europa League this term, is also believed that an agreement for Omani Hutchinson from Ipswich Town, another from Lee Carsley’s workforce, will close for about 37 million £.
McATEE made 34 appearances for the first team for the city, 27 of which came last season. He scored seven goals on the side of Pep Guardiola, including a hat-trick in the third round of FA CUP against Salford City, and had two loans at Sheffield United.
The head of Forest, Nuno Esperito Santo, who directed the club to a seventh place last season, spent £ 44 million so far this summer, bringing Winger Dan Ndoye and the striker Igor Jesus.
Morgan Gibbs-White’s contract has also been expanded, after the club accused Tottenham Hotspur of making an illegal approach to the midfielder, while Anthony Elanga has joined Newcastle for £ 55 million.
