The awards show on Sunday, September 7, is being held at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, for the second year running. This year’s edition Marks Ll Cool J’s Time Emceeing The MTV Solo Seremony, as it had previously held in 2022 side by side Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow.
Back in 1997, the rapper “Murdergram”, 57, the first hip-hop artist to win the Vision Vanguard Award. This year, that honor – which has since been renamed in honor of the recent Michael Jackson – go to Mariah Carey.
