I’m gonna leave in just behind the scenes from the farm containing entertainment: a bunch of people have to sift through tons of films and see what has some arbitrary birthday in the pipeline. You start with “5th -birthday” and work largely in increments every five years upwards. For whatever reason, highlighting the birthday of any film is sure to get people crawling out of the woodwork for a few clicks. I do not do this because I only want to write about movies that interest me. I don’t care if it’s fifty years Mouth Because I celebrate Mouth every day of my life.
But, there was a movie that I happened to notice that it was coming up on its 20th -anniversary. A movie I have never heard one positive word about any of my friends or colleagues. A film that is often listed as one of the worst re -making in the history of the business. Now, that sounds like something that would interest me because I’m cinemaschist. But, having spent my own time and money to watch it, I must not only agree with the consensus but also plant a banner saying that no one will celebrate this Fflic, 20th or otherwise.
Holy smoke, The fog terrible.
If we only look The fog In a relative light only, he makes John Carpenter And the original look of Debra Hill 1980 is even better. I will cope not to be a huge fan of the original film, but I revisited it when I decided to watch the redo. You know, The fog (1980) is not a stunning picture but it is a small and effective small novel of film. It has an atmosphere and solid ensemble cast although it has no strong characters. Still, after watching 2005, I’m ready to declare the original film a masterpiece.
The fog (2005) is basically the redo the beat of the original from the original but with some character changes that should be in the benefit of it. Unfortunately, they are so basic and trivial that they are irrelevant in comparison. The few segments that the reappage removes straight from the original showcases how much more of a joyful and effective was John Carpenter’s original film.
The fog is part of the boom of redoing the horror of the 2000s and appears to have taken all the wrong lessons of the time. And he has not made the film any favors as far as aging.
The most shocking part for The fog Really is how boring aggressive he manages to portray his story. With a reported $ 18 million budget, this had a decent piece of change behind it for effects. Too bad everything comes off as a chapter of a poor paranormal investigation show that is canceled after a short first season. The level of TV production pulls everything down PEG.
The main casting is not assisted. The fog is an attempt to jump Smallville Star Tom Welling to the Great Time, along with Lose actor Grace Maggie. I hate picking on actors but they’re not on a level to promote this is something bigger and/or better. It only doubles on all the entire “Bad TV Episode” that radiates from this movie.
Because the world is a sick and sad place, I’m sure someone is out there who loves The fog Re -do. Managed to get 4% on Rotten tomatoes So someone is willing to go batting for this healing of insomnia. Do you know what? That’s cool. I’m not here to change the mind of anyone so if you love The fog Re -do, more power for you. Just know that I will never be able to trust your movie recommendations.
