Last week, speculation has revolved around Indian promising all Nightish Kumar Reddy and his future with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)the franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL) owned by Kavya maran. The reports suggested that after a challenging season IPL 2025, Reddy was contemplating an outlet, allegedly dissatisfied with his role in the team.

Speculation began when some media outlets reported that Reddy, preserved by SRH by 6 ₹ Crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, was dissatisfied with its bat position and limited bowling opportunities during the season. Despite a 2024 breakdown in which he scored 303 runs and became a crucial figure in the resurgence of SRH, in the 2025 season he saw that Reddy managed only 182 runs in 13 appearances, often lowering the order and bowling only a good handful.

These reports quickly won traction, hinting that the player could look for a new opportunity with another franchise ahead of the IPL 2026, especially when Srh ended sixth in 2025, a disappointing follow -up of his career until the final a year earlier.

On Sunday (July 27), Reddy directly addressed the speculations using X (before Twitter), writing:

“I usually be on the sidelines of noise, but some things deserve clarity. My connection with SRH is based on confidence, respect and years of shared passion. I will always be next to this team.”

This message made it clear that not only rumors were not based, but the Reddy Association with the Kavya Maran franchise is thoroughly. He emphasized the confidence and mutual respect he shares with SRH, who has seen him develop from a domestic talent to an international caliber player during his time with the team.
