Former Cricter Indian Sanjay Manjrekar made a huge statement on the absence of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the fourth test game against England. Manjrekar stated that Reddy’s absence will not generate much imbalance in the XI reproduction, adding that it could benefit from a specialist whisk.
Nitish Kumar Reddy has been governed by the two remaining trial parties in the ongoing series after suffering a left knee injury. The 22 -year -old will return to India to begin his recovery, as confirmed by the Council. Reddy scored 43 runs and took three doctors at both entrances to the third test at Lord’s.
Sanjay Manjrekar said that Nitish Kumar Reddy had a limited impact on the ball in the previous game. Manjrekar added that India should be replaced by Reddy with a specialist mixer, citing the team’s collapse during the second post at Lord’s.

“I don’t think he will create a lot of imbalance or the Indian team will suddenly be weak because Nitish Kumar Reddy helped as a bowling in the last game, but Akash Deep had a color. I don’t think Nightish is not there, he will create a lot of imbalance,” said Manjrekar.
“Maybe India should be replaced by a pure batter because we have seen collapses in the previous game and we were slightly short to beat in this chase,” he added.
Sanjay Manjrekar feels that Manchester’s playing field could encourage Prasidh Krishna’s bowling style. However, Manjrekar added that India should go with Ange Kamboj to form a trio of rhythm along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
“There may be cloudy conditions on Old Trafford. Then you need simple bowls. Maybe Prasidh Krishna fits better if there is a bounce on the pitch and also has some experience. But if it is out of the team based on its shape, and back in the same way it does not make sense,” said Manjrekar.
India fights against several injuries before the fourth test, with the fast bowls Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh ruled out. The team added the patient without any Anshul Kamboj, who could debut in his test.
Kamboj has impressed his performances on the house cricket. He took 34 doctors in only six games with an impressive average of 13.79 during the Ranji 2024-25 trophy. In general, he has taken 79 doctors from 24 first class games to an average of 22.88.
The young Pacer also appeared for India A ahead of the main series. Prasidh Krishna, who played the first two tests, but was falling due to the bad way, is still another option. However, the team is likely to support Kamboj, considering both their form and recent potential.
