Nine people were killed after a Russian drone hit a bus carried by workers in Ukraine, officials say.
The attack took place on Wednesday morning in the South Central city of Marhanet in the Dnopraperovsk region through the Dnieper River from the Nativity Nuclear Nuclear Power Plant.
The regional chief of Sergius Lisak said at least 30 people were injured, adding that “the number of victims is constantly increasing.”
The attack occurs when negotiations were reduced in London on Wednesday, aimed at ensuring a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, and US Secretary of State Mark Rubio and a special Messenger Steve Witkof no longer visit.
Images released by Lysak show a bus with a hole pierced through the roof, doors with loops and a glass scattered on the floor.
The bus seems to be intentionally oriented. Russia did not comment on the attack.
For the second day in a row, there were also blows on drones on Kharkiva, the second largest city of Ukraine, located in the east.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a 30-hour ceasefire on Easter Sunday. Ukraine stated that it reflects Russia’s actions. Each side accused the other of the truce.
Last month, Moscow made a long list of conditions in response to the complete ceasefire, which was agreed by the US and Ukraine.
The US negotiates with Russia and separately with Ukrainian and European officials to throw a truce.
High officials from the UK, France, Germany, the USA and Ukraine meet in London, but negotiations will not include foreign ministers.
Trump’s Ukrainian, General Keith Kealo, visits instead of Rubio and Vitco, while the UK Foreign Minister David Lami will take a bilateral meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart.
In recent months, Witkoff, property tycoon and a special Messenger of Donald Trump, acted as a pipeline between a white house and a Kremlin.
This week he intends to return to Moscow for another meeting with Putin.
He comes after reports that the US views the possibility of proposing Crimea to the Russian territory as a means of putting an end to the struggle, which was excluded by the Ukrainian president of the Loladimir Zelensky.
Crimea, international, recognized by part of Ukraine, has been under Russian occupation since 2014.
