Last week, the Nigerian boss Hilda saw a worldwide record for the preparation of the largest in the history of Jollof in Lagos.
Guinness World Records (GWR) confirmed the achievement in the social media, saying that Mrs. seeing inventing a popular Western African dish weighed on a stunning 8 780 kg.
After nine hours of cooking, the effort was almost thrown after the giant pot used to break the dish when it was raised to the tap that should be weighed – fortunately, none of the rice was spilled.
The lady sees the triumph, thanked her team and the fans: “This moment is not only mine … It belongs to all of us.”
Despite the large -scale pot twice during its weighing, BACI stated the BBC team last week that they were collecting evidence from different cameras to send to GWR to be officially recognized.
Seeing I paid tribute to the “tireless team”, which made it possible to achieve and shared a video about its reaction to social media news.
“This Guinness’s record was built on unity, love and collective power,” she wrote.
“We have created a story together, for Nigeria, for Africa, and for anyone who believes in the power of food to bring us closer to this victory is also yours.”
The Baci recipe for the crowned Jollof dish included 4000 kg of rice, 500 cardboard boxes of tomato paste, 600 kg of onions and 168 kg goat meat – all poured into a pot with a custom that can contain 23,000 liters.
Last week, thousands of people gathered to look at the last application for the world record – in 2023 she held the title for The longest culinary marathon for almost four days.
Their support was well rewarded when the mammoth dish was later divided into separate portions and spread to a huge crowd and passers -by.
Earlier, the boss told the bbc pidgin that she needed a year to schedule how she would be engaged in mammoths.
“We (Nigerians) are the giant of Africa, and Jolof is a food that everyone knows Africans,” she said.
“It would make sense if we had the largest pot of Jollof rice would be good for the country.”
It was assisted by 10 other red chefs, which have long wooden spoons to accommodate food.
The production of giant steel utensils, to hold the dish, took a team of 300 people for two months, but one of its feet gave way to the most important time.
Rice Jollof is a major product in several West African countries, which presents rice covered with tomato sauce, often paired with meat or seafood.
Seeing won the competition for its version of Jolof Rice in 2021, and then became a national sensation in 2023, when it stated that the world culinary marathon is a depleting 93 hours 11 minutes.
However, she was later surpassed by the Irish boss Alan Fisher. Currently, the owner of the record owner is Eve Quoibia from Australia, from 140 hours and 11 minutes, reports Gwr.
