Nigeria Bandits kills 38 hostages even after payment of payment

Nigeria’s kidnappers killed at least 35 people they stole from the village in the northern state of Zamfar, despite their release, the local BBC official said.

In recent years, criminal groups in the region, known in the country as bandits, have taken part in the abduction of people as a means of raising money.

In this March, 56 people from the village of Bang, in the local government, Kauro Namoda were imported in this incident. Then the militants demanded the redemption of a million Nerra ($ 655; £ 485) for captivity, media in Nigeria.

The chairman of Local Self -Government Manira Haidar Cauro said most of them were young people who were “killed like Rams”.

“What happened was that the bandits demanded money for ransom, and after some back and back they were asked what they asked. They then released 18 people, including 17 women and one young boy on Saturday,” Gaidar added.

“Only they (militants) know why they killed them. They are meaningless and soulless people. They forget that they kill their brothers and we will all meet before Allah.”

Sixteen of those released on Saturday are in the hospital treatment, while the bodies of 38 gangs killed are unlikely to be returned, as in these cases, corpses are rarely released.

In an attempt to stop the spiral and profitable abduction industry, in 2022 a law was passed, which made a crime to pay payments. He has been imprisoned at least 15 years, but no one has ever been arrested on these accusations.

It also made the abduction of the executed death in cases where the victims die.

But families often feel forced to pay to save their loved ones by citing government’s inability to ensure their safety.
