Senz Machun’s police minister is charged with links with Criminal groups and interference with the police investigation into politically motivated killings.
These explosive charges were made by the Boss Police Quasul Nanlala Mkhvo-Guard on Sunday.
He said that Mr Machun received financial support from the alleged corrupt businessman to finance his “political endeavors”.
Machun has since denied that, according to him, “wild accusations”, while President Kirill Ramaphos said they caused a “serious problem of national security” and “receive the greatest attention”.
General Mkhwanazi spoke in detail about the sequence of events he claimed, led to an “organized” deployment group created in 2018 to investigate the murder of politicians, mainly in Quasul-Naul.
General Mkhwanazi said the team investigations had found a connection with high -profile persons – including politicians, police and businessmen related to the syndicate of drug addiction – and so the team was dissolved.
When he dissolved the unit earlier this year, Mchunu said he did not add value to the province, despite the fact that many cases remained unresolved.
According to General Mkhwanazi, a total of 121 materials was removed from the minister’s instructions and without the permission of his boss, Fanny Masemola, General of the National Police.
“These Dockets, since March, have been in the head office since then, without any investigations made on them. In five of these fate, there were already instructions on (effect) of arrests.”
The police chief also claimed that Mr Machun was connected with a conflicting businessman who “financially supported” the minister’s political career.
Wusimuz Madlala signed a profitable contract with the police before he was abolished when he was arrested for attempting to kill in May. Gen Mkhwanazi shared copies of text messages and payment allegedly made by Mr. Madla to prove it.
General Mashemol, for his part, stated that he would decide these charges at the end of the week when he announces the appointment of temporary intelligence.
The head of the LT-General Criminal Intelligence Criminal Intelligence was arrested for allegations of fraud and corruption last month.
General Humala and the other six were linked to a constant investigation of alleged exploration funds and potentially illegal appointment in the South African Police Service (SAPS).
