Neymar left the pitch with tears just 34 minutes from the first start to the Brazilian championship of the series to this season after injuring the leg to what was his hundredth appearance in Santos.
The 33 -year -old striker was wearing a special 100 t -shirt to commemorate a century of appearances for his children’s club in his house, Vila Belmiro Stadium.
But the celebrations were reduced, as the Brazil record scorer pointed to the bench shortly after the half -hour mark that he could no longer continue and was visibly excited when he left the pitch.
Santos won the game 2-0 against Athletics-MG, and marked the first start to Neymar in the National League of Brazil this term after returning to the squad against Fluminense last weekend after an absence of six weeks with a thigh injury.
You could see the same thigh, suggesting that you may have suffered a repeated injury.
However, its manager said that the extent of the injury was not clear.
“It is still too early to give any definitive response, we still have no diagnosis,” said Santos coach and former Brazil international, Cesar Sampaio.
“Now we have to pray that it is not something that keeps him out for a long time.”
Neymar returned to Santos of the Saudi Arabic Club al-Hilal at the end of January, making eight appearances and scoring three goals in this time.
The old star of Barcelona and PSG has not played on the national side since October 2023 after having torn the previous cross ligament.
He was appointed Brazil’s squad for the World Cup classifiers against Argentina and Colombia, but was forced to retire after injuries.
Currently, Santos is the 12th place in the league after four games, winning one, removing one and losing two.
