New Zealand’s main coach Gary Stead could have filtered his team’s strategy before the next final against India at the ICC Trophy of the current 2025. The long -awaited decay of the title will take place on Sunday (March 9) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The next game will be the second meeting between India and New Zealand at the current tournament. They also played against each other during the group stage.
In this game, India had defeated New Zealand for 44 runs. After scoring the 249, India had left for New Zealand for 205 runs thanks to a brilliant 5 Wicker of Varun Chakravarthy.
And before the final, Gary Stead said that New Zealand is likely to beat first if they win the final launch due to the threat of chakravarthy.
Speaking to journalists, New Zealand coach said it would be easier for Batsmen to face Chakravarthy in daylight. He also admitted that Chakravarthy is a great threat to New Zealand and that black caps will have to find a way to override the threat.
“When we have a wrist spinner like him, look for evidence as a batter and I think it’s a little easier when you are beating the day’s light to see these things,” said Gary Seaad.
“There is no doubt that it is a class bowl, he showed his skills against us the last time and it is a great threat in the game, so we will start to see how we can annul it and the score continues against him,” he added.

Gary Stead also handed a major update on Matt Henry, which is doubtful for the final due to a shoulder injury. Henry suffered the injury as he took the capture of Heinrich Klaasen during the semifinal against South -Africa.
He had to get out of the field, but he soon returned to Bowl. Gary Steead said that although New Zealand expects Henry’s participation in the final, his fitness status is still “unknown”.
“I guess the positive from our perspective is that he came out again.
“Obviously he is pretty sore to disembark at the shoulder point. We hope he is fine,” said Gary Stead.
New Zealand will wait for Henry to recover fully before the final and drive his rhythm attack. Henry is the highest wick of the ongoing tournament. He has taken 10 doctors in 4 games, including a 5 wicket route against Team India.
